Eriond was the intended God of the Angaraks until a 'Great Accident' caused Torak to be born instead. Since then he existed in a spirit form until he appeared to Zedar and allowed himself to be used in his plot to steal the Orb. After Zedar was found and defeated he became Polgara's ward and went by Errand. By the time of the Great Choice he had became an adult and took his proper place as the God of the Angaraks. He's often accompanied by a strange stallion Belgarion resurrected which is simply called Horse.
Together with the emperor of Mallorea, Eriond is working to improve the culture of his people and put them on a better path.
